Mythical, magical, fantastical, delightful. I love a good descent into madness. The world building was top class

Thanks NJ! I too have a weakness for the “going mad with the character”-type tales.

This is why I try not to make eye contact with anything that has horns. Totally rational precaution to take.

What if the horns have been burned down to their stumps by a prominent count seeking favor with fate? Hypothetically.

Fantastic, man. Felt like tapping right into Celtic myth. Like another commenter said - something to whisper around the fire at night.

Thank you so much! It’s interesting, the puck itself and the underground vault was an invention for a book that I ultimately scrapped, but I loved the idea so much I decided to resurrect it here.

I'd say that was definitely a good call. I loved how you described the puck. Solid stuff. Interestingly, it's mannerisms put me in mind of a horror movie, at least in terms of feel. Have you ever watched The Hallow?

I swear it felt like I was holding my breath in the last part. this feels like the sort of story that would have been told long ago around a fire. a folktale for sure. outstanding!
